Beaches nearby
There are a myriad beaches between Santa Teresa di Gallura and Palau, some of which are indicated in the attached map; you will discover many others simply by following local signs. Some beaches are equipped with basic services: deckchairs, sunshades, bars and restaurants (for example at Liscia, Licciola and Isola dei Gabbiani). In many cases the beaches are free.
Surfing
An area of the Liscia bay is reserved for surfers who come from all over Europe to practice their sport because of the reliable breezes, without the formation of large waves. This is the place where the Wind Surf World Championships are held every April.

The main islands in the area are Spargi, Spargiotto, Lavezzi, Cavallo, Budelli, Razzoli, Santa Maria, Maddalena, Santo Stefano, Caprera. These can be reached by ferry from Palau, or by renting private boats.
You can also visit some of the islands with tour operators that operate with boats of various sizes, offering daily tours that include swiming and lunch in beautiful bays.
Motorized rafts can be rented at the local marina of Porto Pozzo, which also offers mooring facilities with electricity and water services.

Climate
The climate of the area is mostly pleasant with temperatures that rarely fall below 6°C in winter. From April until the end of October the mild climate varies between 16°C and 26°C, while between July and August the temperature peaks at around 29°C. The proximity to the sea creates the alternation of sea and land breezes. The predominant winds are the Mistral and the westerly Ponente.

Borgo di San Pasquale
Thanks to the strategic location of San Pasquale, it will take you no time at all to reach beaches, archaeological sites, places of natural beauty and the main towns of the Gallura and Costa Smeralda regions. San Pasquale is well-connected to the regional public transport routes through an air-conditioned bus service which operates a regular service.

The center of San Pasquale is only 100 meters away from the residence; there are grocery stores and a butcher's shop, as well as a bar/tobacconist, ATM machines, a Post Office and a medical clinic (twice a week).
